Ricky brings extensive insight and experience to his clients with more than a decade of real estate dealings focused on “value-add” and income-producing properties, buyer representation and sellers marketing. He also maintains his own portfolio of income-producing and single-familyproperties in the Miami area. In short, Ricky knows first-hand what the business of real estate investing entails, along with the benefits of home ownership and how to best market, sell, and buy property.
Born and raised in New England (Massachusetts and Vermont), Ricky ventured to South Florida in 1999, recognizing early on the future potential of the region. A passionate “people person,” Ricky dedicated several years to the hospitality industry, immersing him into the South Florida “multi-cultural melting pot.” Ricky further grew his passion for service by attending nursing school at Excelsior College in Albany, NY—and later graduating from Barry University in Miami Shores, with a specialty as a cardio-thoracic intensive care (ICU) nurse.
Ricky was quickly recruited by several of South Florida’s most renowned hospitals, including Jackson Memorial and University of Miami hospitals, where he provided direct care in the Intensive Care Units. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the shores of the US, Ricky was a lead nurse at Jackson Memorial—one of the country’s most impacted public hospitals.
Leveraging his strengths from this experience, Ricky answered the call of duty and accepted multiple roles as a COVID ICU traveling nurse in several hard hit cities, including Long Island Jewish in Queens, NY (notoriously known as “ground zero” for COVID); Baptist Health North Little Rock; and South Shore University Hospital in Queens, NY.
Ricky then made the decision to extend his passion for service to help others realize the same success that he had already put into practice, by focusing on real estate full time. With his experience in buying, selling, and investing in real property, this was a no-brainer for a man who has dedicated his energy for the betterment of others. As a Property Agent at GRABER Realty Group, Ricky is an essential part of the team which has sold over $700 million in real estate over the past seven years in Miami’s “coastal communities.”
Ricky is fluent in both English and Spanish. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, the beach, CrossFit work outs, discovering South Florida’s epicurean delights, and continually growing with his husband of fourteen years, Jose and their rescue dog, Benji.
